I head to my first class, and because of my parentage, I have a weird mix of courses. Demon, Witch, Fae, and Shifter courses, combat, and an elective.

I make it to my first classroom, and plop down into a seat at the back, feeling grumpy as fuck. Someone sits behind me, but I don’t turn to see who it is right away. I feel the desire, and I soak it in. Oh fuck, that’s good. Like roasted marshmallows, burnt in the fire. The desire grows as I release some lust trying to get my fill. The person behind me leans forward and moves my hair off my neck. I freeze.

“If you keep that up, I’ll fuck you in this classroom. I’ll bend you over the teacher's desk, and take that pussy right here in front of everyone.” The voice is deep and menacing. A puff of smoke caresses my skin, and I realize it’s the Dragon.

I turn to face him and raise my arm up as if to give him my hand to shake.

“Hi, I’m Catarina. You know. The girl you called your mate this morning.” I quirk an eyebrow at him, and he sees the bite Julian left on my wrist.

His eyes narrow, and they shift from brown to their reptilian yellow. Julian walks in at exactly that moment, and the Dragon turns to Julian with murder in his eyes.

He jumps up, grabs Julian by the throat, and drags him into the hall. I want to stay put. I really do, but instead, I follow them.

“You fed on my mate!” the Dragon roars.

“Blade, you need to calm down, man. I didn’t know she was your mate.” Blade must increase the pressure around Julian's throat, because Julian grabs his wrist defensively, yanking it away. In the time it takes me to blink, Julian latches onto Blade’s throat. Blade’s knees buckle, and he hits the floor.

“Fuck!” Blade yells, and Julian darts away from him, makes eye contact with me, then bites me! Is he trying to die? Xavier comes around the corner just as my knees give out from the intense lust, and I moan. He used his venom. Which explains why Blade is sporting an impressively large bulge.

“Dude, what the…” Xavier starts, but Julian moves quickly, biting Xavier as well.

Xavier uses his powers and shoves Julian into the wall.

“Get it together! If someone sees you…” X snaps, and Blade rises to his feet. To my complete shock, he comes over to me, offering me a hand up. He looks me over, examining my new bite.

He turns his glare on Julian. “Do you want her?” he asks him, and Julian freezes.

They all look at me, and I stare back. This is not my fault. “Have her,” Blade says, storming off.

X releases Julian, and they both watch their friend walk away.

“What the fuck was that?” I ask, and X steps up to me. He gives me the kindest look I think I’ve gotten from him since we met.

“We need to talk. I’ll have someone take notes for us.
